Understanding SentinelleTrader
What is SentinelleTrader?
SentinelleTrader is an online risk-management tool designed to protect your trading account. You set your limits from your dashboard, and SentinelleTrader enforces them automatically so one bad day or a loss of control cannot put your account at risk.
Does SentinelleTrader open trades?
No.
SentinelleTrader never opens positions in the market. It is neither a trading bot nor a signal service. Its sole purpose is to protect your account by enforcing your risk-management rules.
What can I limit?
You can set, among other things:
- a maximum daily drawdown;
- a maximum number of stop-losses per day;
- your trading hours.
When one of these limits is reached, SentinelleTrader automatically applies the protection you configured.
What happens when a limit is reached?
Any new position will be closed immediately. You will therefore be unable to trade until the following day or until the reset time you set in advance.
Can I keep trading after a lockout?
No.
While the lockout is active, every attempt to open a new position is automatically blocked to protect your account. You can start trading again at the reset time you set in advance.
How long does SentinelleTrader take to set up?
Setup usually takes under 2 minutes directly from the website. Simply connect your trading account, define your risk limits and SentinelleTrader takes care of the rest.
Do I need technical knowledge?
No.
SentinelleTrader is designed to be easy to set up and use, even if you have no technical knowledge.
Compatibility and accounts
Which brokers are supported?
SentinelleTrader is compatible with the vast majority of brokers using MetaTrader 4 and MetaTrader 5.
Are prop firms supported?
Yes.
SentinelleTrader also works with most prop firms that support MT4 and MT5.
Can I protect multiple accounts?
Yes.
You can protect multiple trading accounts depending on your subscription plan.
Does it work with MT4 and MT5?
Yes.
SentinelleTrader supports both MetaTrader 4 and MetaTrader 5.
Does it still work if I trade from multiple devices?
Yes.
Your protection remains active whether you use your main computer or another compatible device.
Security
Does SentinelleTrader have access to my funds?
No.
SentinelleTrader never has access to your funds. It only applies the risk-management rules you configured.
Is my data secure?
Yes.
Your information is handled securely and used only to operate your protection.
Trial, subscription and billing
Can I try SentinelleTrader for free?
Yes.
Every new user gets a 7-day free trial with no commitment.
Can I cancel my subscription at any time?
Yes.
You can cancel your subscription at any time. If you cancel during the trial, you keep access until the end of the 7-day period.
What happens if my payment fails?
If a payment fails, a grace period gives you time to update your payment before your subscription is suspended.
Which payment methods do you accept?
We accept major credit and debit cards, Apple Pay and Google Pay.
